Yep, Montreal.

I can see no strong shared design cues (except the headlights). Must be a whole lotta subtle ones working together. Wheel wells, gradual hood slope, windshield angle, wheelbase, wheels, ride height...

I LOVE these obscure BMWs! They really show the beauty that coach builders can bring to a brand while still keeping the brand characteristics. Even the recent BMW Zagato coupe managed that very well, but these are so classic. An amazing mix of German and Italian design.

I think the only thing I have ever thought was not gorgeous on this is the incorporation of the kidneys. If they were wider like a 740iL I think it would have worked much better.
